LCP Team's Pressing Matters For Cancer Research Uk
Team members from national commercial property and investment company LCP have raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK after completing a press-ups challenge.
Kevin Andrews, Ian Lloyd, Neil Tulloch and Rakesh Joshi each completed 100 press ups every day in November for the challenge, raising an impressive £979, plus £122.25 in gift aid, for charity.
Team leader Kevin, head of facilities management at the Black Country headquartered company, said: "We're over the moon to have raised so much for this excellent cause and want to thank our families, friends and colleagues for supporting us as we did our daily press-ups.
"The initial fundraising target was £200, so we have smashed our target, which is great news."
Kevin raised £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Research in June 2021 after completing the Welsh 3000 - a challenge that sees participants climbing the 15 highest mountains in Snowdonia in 24 hours.
He has set his sights on a new challenge for 2023, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in February next year for Cancer Research UK.
