LCP UK, part of M Core, has secured Hollywood Bowl as the newest operator at The Centre, Livingston, one of Scotland’s largest shopping centres. The multi-million-pound venue opens at 9am on Saturday 21 November.
The opening is a key step in the owner’s strategy to grow The Centre, Livingston into a destination where visitors can ‘shop, eat and play’. It also coincides with the centre’s 50th anniversary.
The 26,500 sq ft venue will feature 22 bowling lanes, including four Hollywood-themed VIP lanes with leather sofas, velvet drapes and dedicated lane hosts. There will also be pool tables and an amusement area with some of the UK’s latest arcade games. Hollywood Bowl’s signature bar and diner will serve burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and cocktails, with food and drink available to order directly to the lane. Pre-bookings are now open on the Hollywood Bowl website.
Activities will run across the weekend before the launch and on opening day:
- A 3 ft x 22 ft inflatable bowling lane
- Roaming performers dressed as bowling pins handing out branded badges
- Appearances from ‘Livi the Unicorn’ in a Hollywood Bowl shirt
- Face painting and a bowling-themed face-in-the-hole photo board
- A live musician playing a curated set of American classics
- The first five guests in the queue will each receive a £50 gift card from The Centre, Livingston.
Hollywood Bowl joins a line-up of more than 150 stores and restaurants at the 1m sq ft centre. These include M&S, Flannels, H&M, Søstrene Grene, Wingstop, wagamama and the country’s largest JD Sports store. The centre attracts 15.8 million visitors a year.
