Senior staff pick up the pace as they raise money for worthy causes

LCP would like to shine a light on two of its senior members of staff, Robin Mawby, Director of Treasury & Risk, and Arthur Dodson, Head of Data & AI who have both gone the extra mile to raise money for two very worthy causes that are close to their hearts.

After completing 52 marathons by the age of 52, this year Robin was determined to complete the Robin Hood 100. Touched by Doddie Weir, Rob Burrow and Ed Slater, and inspired by the incredible Kevin Sinfield’s 100-mile run, Robin took on his latest challenge all in the aid of raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

Having ompleted the Robin Hood 100 last month, a 100-mile race which has a route through Sherwood Forrest in Nottinghamshire, Robin has provided us with some very impressive stats:

  • 107 miles completed
  • 25 hours 44 minutes total time
  • 12,733 calories burned
  • 18,623ml sweat lost

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Robin is certainly an inspiration so please support him raise as much as possible by visiting his JustGiving page here.

Meanwhile, Arthur completed his marathon at the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 on 13th October 2024 in central London. The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

Arthur is fundraising for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, a cause that's incredibly important to him. This world-renowned hospital has saved countless young lives, including Arthur’s nephew.

With the fundraising goal set at £2000, we would encourage anyone who can to support Arthur and donate to his JustGiving page here as every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in the lives of brave young patients being treated at the hospital.

Thank you to everyone supporting Robin and Arthur.
