M Core submits planning at Multipark Burntwood

“We’re thrilled to have now formally submitted the planning application for the Blue Hoarded site in Burntwood. This is a location that has stood empty for decades, so we’re delighted to take another step forward towards developing this site into a thriving retail and leisure scheme for the local community.”
M Core, one of Europe’s leading property collectives, has submitted a planning application to transform the long-vacant Blue Hoarded site at Multipark Burntwood into a dynamic retail and leisure destination.
After three decades of inactivity, the six-acre site is set to evolve into a thriving hub, featuring 52,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, including three drive-through units and two large spaces for retailers or leisure operators.
LCP, part of M Core the developer behind Chase Trade Park, has been actively preparing the site since February 2025, undertaking crucial remediation works to clear historic unexploded ordnance expected to conclude by June. Development is scheduled to begin in autumn 2025, with completion set for September 2026, pending planning approval.
Nick Bryson, Director- Industrial at LCP, part of M Core commented: “We’re thrilled to have now formally submitted the planning application for the Blue Hoarded site in Burntwood. This is a location that has stood empty for decades, so we’re delighted to take another step forward towards developing this site into a thriving retail and leisure scheme for the local community.”
Councillor Darren Ennis, added: “It’s brilliant to see this kind of development coming to Burntwood. Not only does it bring quality jobs to the area, but it also delivers the kinds of businesses our community both wants and needs. I’m excited to see which operators this new development will attract to the area.”
